Peak #6

Mauri Ora,

Peak number six,

This week it was another local hill that gave us our kicks.

Mt Bradley was where we initially headed but we had to change plans;

For the sheep need their peace whilst having their lambs!

Knowing that last week I climbed a peak so close to home,

I thought it would be best to tackle something in a different zone…

Yet it was now nearly noon and we were still in the car,

We had no desire to drive very far,

So at Ohinetahi Reserve we laced up our shoes,

Who would have guessed there were so many paths we could choose!

Beautiful bush and tuneful Tui,

This track to Mt Ada, sure was a goody!

It’s amazing how a venture a little off the Summit road,

Puts a new perspective on a view that you think that you know!
