In Episode 2, we’re spotlighting the upcoming Motatapu mountain bike options, chatting with three athletes as they prepare for the 2024 event. They’ll share their Motatapu stories and goals for crossing the finish line on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Motatapu 2024 presents two mountain bike events – the iconic 47km Mondraker Mountain Bike through the magnificent Motatapu, Soho, and Glencoe Stations. Alternatively, athletes can tackle the 56km Coronet Loop event (Grade 3–4), which features technical sections, exposure, and plenty of climbing.
Our lineup begins with Brent Gardyne, a Motatapu MTB enthusiast who’s conquered almost every event to date. Discover what keeps him coming back year after year.
Next, we welcome Queenstown local Kim Hurst, 2023’s Inaugural Women’s Coronet Loop MTB winner. Gain insights into her experience out on the trail.
